We loved stepping back and giving some hints here and there and seeing their minds work. We've also been a part of the cursed ship which we enjoyed too. I was not sure how the room would work, but the Zoom meeting works really well. We did like the twist and how the story played out at the end as a strong ending is always important. There also was enough playability that different people could work on different puzzles at the same time.
They also incorporate actors into their rooms which I think is a nice touch because it feels like a more personal experience.The rooms have puzzles that are difficult to solve but are not impossible. First time at Lockout and only my second escape room experience.
We did the Enchanted Chamber. I've done 4 of their rooms, two of which have been replaced. Big kudos to our, "Wizard" who made this an experience my family will cherish for a long time. While waiting in the spacious lobby, there's plenty of puzzles available on the tables for you to tackle before your actual game.Currently there are 5 games at Lockout Austin and we're trying out their "CSI: Murder at the Asylum" game today. Jana and staff helped me surprised my boyfriend with a special private escape room with Area 51 room! Would highly recommend as a way to get friends "together. Every kid loved it, felt included and the "wizard" was a pro. That's how impressive it is. This particular room is one of the harder rooms and with a team of 8 friends we barely finished with a little over 3 minutes. Also, we went at the beginning of the COVID-19 scare, and the staff was GREAT with explaining the sanitizing process of the rooms and having everyone wash their hands and use sanitizer. Our game host was so much fun and very helpful.

She is obsessed with the cartoon Gravity Falls and conspiracy theories right now - this room was perfect! My son's 8th grade class did the Goblet of Treasures virtual escape room and they divided into 3 groups. and Blue Meth Breakout, even though I've heard it's an easier one. The puzzles were not easy but they were intelligent, fun and so well thought-out and the overall story is fantastic.
We owe it to Austin to help this crew survive the pandemic.

I signed my daughters (ages 14 and 10) and they invited their cousins (15 and 13) for their virtual escape room (Goblet of Treasures). Lockout Austin offers a mix of live escape room experiences at our South Lamar location and virtual experiences using Zoom Video Chat! I'm really excited to try their Area 51-2 (get it?) Having just rewatched all six seasons of Breaking Bad, we decided to do some METHing around in the Blue Meth Breakout room. We did not figure it out but it was so fun no one was disappointed and all of the girls want to to go back to finish the room! We did not get to try their newest room "Area 51-2", but we did get to take a look at it (click on our YouTube video for a sneak peek inside) and we're very intrigued by the set design and what surprises it holds.
