Over the past years, the Government has supported the funding of BME leadership preparatory courses. Our subjects and speakers have not changed. We are starting to see accrediting bodies open to innovative methods of providing education and colleges are looking to create certificates that stack and lead towards a degree to help create achievable milestones for adults. They seem to abhor ‘command and control style’ practiced by male leaders. Women leaders are invariably focused on completion of tasks assigned within deadlines. This would be modeled after. As educational resources evolve to reflect the times, alumni should be able to take advantage of those university resources well after graduation. Over 10 million scientific documents at your fingertips. The nature of higher education is shifting. The under-representation of BME female teachers and leaders is disturbing. Gender parity in leadership is important because true progress cannot happen without a diversity of perspective in leadership roles. Regarding senior leadership posts in England, there are 900 BME deputy and assistant headteachers (combined) and 200 head teachers (0.7% male and 1.2% female). This allows us to make better choices and decisions that are data-driven. Men and women mostly show distinctly different styles of leadership. Education needs to nurture lifelong learners, promoting and supporting a culture of owning one’s education and driving one’s destiny through multimodal, blended learning opportunities, such as DIY online, virtual seminars, regional workshops, hands-on immersion, peer-to-peer, certification, role-model inspired and skill-building specific to workforce requirements. We need to look at our overall core requirements and see if they’re still meaningful when we have so many students coming out of secondary education with that type of dual enrollment credit. BME female leaders in education are now able to “chip away” at cultural insensitivities and use their cultural capital to offer new ways of helping their white counterparts to understand the impact and importance of diversity and the richness of difference. Although there are currently innovatively designed programs and courses to address these issues, BME teachers and leaders are not being given equal chances and opportunities as their white counterparts. That includes most specifically addressing bullying as a serious matter and not something that is a rite of passage. And those changes fly in the face of how a school is typically structured. Scholars note the visible impact of BME leaders that are leading in white spaces and report on the relationship changes and tensions that can occur when they enter into leadership positions. Then, what is the meaning of leadership? I have family members who are attending a costly private school and I don’t believe they’re receiving any better education than the nearby public school. If you had the power to influence or change the entire US educational infrastructure, which five things would you implement to improve and reform our education system? Scholars report the psychological and physical processes endured by aspiring BME female leaders in white spaces which often include assimilation practices. A leader is a person who influences and encourages a group of people to work towards the realization of goals. Women leaders generally prefer leading and creating flat organizational structures that enables all to work in a collegial atmosphere interpedently. I think any time a school system or university can show evidence of being more intentionally inclusive, and considering the intersections of student identities, such as ethnicity, sexuality, (dis)ability, gender and religion, mental and physical health and socioeconomic status is significant because that means there is focus on the whole person who is learning. However, they lag substantially behind men when it comes to their representation in leadership positions. Similar findings in America reveal that less than 10% of teachers are from a BME background. A woman’s perception of leadership begins not with collegiate academic success, her irst big break or when she’s named to a position of power. We are also working hard to increase apprenticeship programs. The presence of BME female leaders in education challenge the stereotype of the characteristics of a female leader, especially visually. Within these programs, aspiring BME leaders can discuss the real-life challenges experienced when considering race and working in educational institutions. As a country, we need to provide incentives and create equitable opportunities for underrepresented groups so that they are able to gain the education and experiences necessary for success in the workplace. There continues to be abundant literature on educational leadership; however, little is known about BME female leaders, their experiences of socialization and the continued impact of structural and organizational racism. The shortage of BME leaders is damaging to the education system. Only then will we ensure we’re supporting each student on his or her unique pathway to success. They care a lot about their personal development. Space education needs to be fully integrated into core curriculum. As adult mentors responsible for supporting and shaping students’ lives, we must listen to students so they will open up and listen in return. We have prepared virtual program experiences to continue our mission while protecting your health. In this way, they can reach others providing exceptional opportunities for social change. Just like men, women in leadership positions aim to accomplish the necessary goals, however, the transformational approach involves more attention being paid to how these goals are achieved. We really need to take a look at the overall four-year curriculum because some students are coming in with large numbers of dual enrollment credits.
