I have seen these sell for 1K on a regular basis for an inferior guitar that sold for around $500 new while a US Special Deluxe which would be listed in the same price range and is by far a superior guitar would get passed over. These guitars have become very hot of late (I can remember scoring a dead mint Tobacco Burst Standard back in the day when Ebay was good for $640) Today they sell in the mid teens to over 2K and that is going by completed listings. Dunlop 65 lemon oil even says it is not for use on maple boards on the bottle. The guitar is simply incredible.
