I dont see why you cant run the hub since it connects directly via ethernet cable to the router and creates a zwave - zigbee signal around the house. I too would like to hear if it can be used in Europe. This could be normal at night or on overcast days where the outdoor temperature is not changing very much. Disappointing but at least they follow up and respond. The controller was then moved to the proper location in another part of the house without issue.
